We have an excellent opportunity for a Front Office Analyst (f/d/m) at the Power Trading & Portfolio Management Desk of EWE Trading.

Your new position:

• Analysis of the European power market and its prices drivers
• Evaluating and monitoring of sales structures and dynamics
• Provision of view on market dynamics, regulatory, and interdependencies to traders and portfolio managers
• Development and operating of desk tools
• Contribution to development of new business 
• Close cooperation and development of effective working relationships with traders, peer analysts, developers and originators to establish optimal information flow and decision making

Your profile:

• Excellent education in physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or economics (master level) or equivalent
• Strong analytical skills with a profound understanding of statistical methods, and data science techniques
• Experience in the front office of a commodity trading house is advantageous
• Expertise in object-oriented programming (ideally in Python)
• Experience in modern cloud IT stacks (e.g. Gitlab CICD, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS) is advantageous
• Team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Proactive entrepreneurial attitude, strong orientation on results with a commercial mindset, Can-Do mentality, and ability to work independently and under time pressure
• Very good command of written and spoken German and English
