You have a creative mind and you want to apply your knowledge to exciting, diverse IT projects? With us, you'll gain valuable experience in the energy sector and help shape the future energy system with your sustainable footprint.

You'll work with our departments to design tomorrow's business processes and collaborate with our Enterprise Architects to model the IT landscape of a modern infrastructure operator.

As part of our digitalisation offensive, you'll combine cloud services with classic on-premise solutions and support the development of new business models based on digital data by helping to shape and contribute your ideas.

Your trainee programme – your choice!

What does the trainee programme involve?

The programme is tailored to your specific focus and interests, allowing you to explore the many aspects of the EWE Group and to enhance your profile.  

  • We will work with you to develop your plan of action.
  • You usually spend three months in each placement, which could be a department, a specific area or a project.
  • Group-wide assignments, including those outside your area of specialisation, will give you a holistic understanding of the Group.
  • We focus on close contact with our customers in the region. This programme gives you the opportunity to gain experience with our business on site.
  • After each assignment, feedback sessions help you discover your strengths and further develop your skills.

You have access to the trainee supervisors, a sponsor, a mentor and a trainee buddy at all times.

Your path to the EWE trainee programme

Applicants with the best chance of joining us will:  

  • Have a degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field
  • Be interested in the interplay between IT, energy and telecommunications, and the energy supply systems of tomorrow
  • Have confidence in yourself and personal initiative
  • Have strong communication and social skills
  • Enjoy change and further development
  • Have the courage to take on responsibility
  • Enjoy creating things with others

If this applies to you and we have received your application, we'll invite you to one of our selection days, where you'll also get to know other applicants, the trainee supervisors, and specialists and managers from individual departments. The selection day consists of varied tasks and interviews. We will then inform you as soon as possible about a possible placement and next steps.
