Working Together for Climate Protection

WirHierJetzt 2035 - Our Commitment to Climate Awareness

At EWE, climate protection isn't a trend - it's a responsibility. We have set ourselves ambitious climate goals for the year 2035 and aim to support our customers and our region on the path to decarbonization. Having long championed renewable energy, we believe the time to act is now. We owe it to ourselves and future generations to drive decarbonization - here and now.

Climate Protection - in Brief

We can - and must - protect the climate to counteract climate change and its devastating consequences for people and the environment. Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century. The energy sector is the largest emitter of greenhouse gases. Reducing these emissions, which are responsible for global warming, is therefore critical. At EWE, we are fully aware of our responsibility - especially because secure, affordable, and sustainable energy supply is the backbone of our society and a prerequisite for a competitive economy.

Today. Tomorrow. For generations.

More on Climate Protection

Our EWE regions in northwestern Germany, Brandenburg, and on the island of Rügen are already experiencing the effects of climate change - through floods, droughts, and other extreme weather events. At the same time, northwestern Germany plays a key role in the energy transition, as we are already well on the way to building a future-proof energy system based on renewable energy. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why climate protection is so close to our hearts - especially for our employees?
