Our Donation Activities

Because we care about social engagement, we primarily support organizations that are dedicated to charitable, benevolent, or religious purposes while adhering to the principles of our Code of Conduct. Additionally, we aim to promote education and science, arts and culture, as well as social and humanitarian projects to enrich people’s lives. This also includes environmental protection, responsible resource management, efforts for greater sustainability, and improving climate protection in northwestern Germany and Brandenburg.

Through small donations of up to 1,000 euros per request, a total of 89 donations were allocated in 2023.

Furthermore, several thousand euros were donated through the EWE employee initiative “Rest-Cent-Spende". In this initiative, EWE Group employees voluntarily round their net salaries off to the next full euro and donate the cents to social organizations in the region. This way, small individual contributions quickly add up to a significant sum that effectively supports people in need.

Our donation activities are exclusively directed toward recognized, independent, non-governmental organizations and non-profit charitable organizations. Individuals, political parties, public officials, and fundraising or charity events are excluded from our funding.

In addition to our donations, our sponsorship activities are diverse and reflect our commitment to society and our regions.

2. Confirmation of Receipt: You will receive confirmation of your application’s receipt.
3. Internal Review: Our team carefully examines your request.
4. Approval or Rejection: Please understand that processing may take up to six weeks. We will notify you in written form of the decision once the review is complete.
