Oldenburg, Germany, 11 September 2015. Dr. Heiko Sanders (46) will be leaving the Board of Management of EWE AG (Oldenburg, Germany) on 30 September at his own request. The EWE Supervisory Board and Sanders reached this decision on good terms. Dr. Stephan-Andreas Kaulvers, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at EWE, thanked Sanders on behalf of the entire Board for his hard work. “Dr. Sanders has played a significant and decisive role in EWEʼs development over the past few years both in his position on the Board of Management and as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of our largest shareholding VNG.” In this period, Sanders has successfully contributed to leading the EWE Group during a challenging time for the energy industry. Dr. Heiko Sanders has held various leadership positions at the EWE Group over the past 13 years, and since July 2011, he has been a member of the Board of Management of EWE AG, where he oversees finances. Until his successor is found, Sandersʼ responsibilities will be taken over by the future EWE CEO, Brückmann.
