Oldenburg, Germany, 30 January 2015. There has been a retrospective change to the Board of Management of EWE AG (Oldenburg), effective from the beginning of the year: Dr. Torsten Köhne, Member of the Board of Management for power generation, is leaving the EWE board to focus solely on his tasks as the CEO of swb AG (Bremen). Dr. Köhne has been a member of the Board of Management of EWE AG since 2013 andhad also been a Board member at EWE ENERGIE AG. “We would like to thank Dr. Torsten Köhne for his dedication and willingness to take on the challenges of holding two management board positions successfully for many years,” said Dr. Stephan-Andreas Kaulvers, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at EWE. “The requirements of chairing swb and the special challenges of conventional generation now require Dr. Köhne to focus entirely on his work there, however.”
The division headed by Köhne at EWE AG will be taken over initially by the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Werner Brinker. Matthias Brückmann, designated CEO at EWE AG, is also stepping down from his position in the Board of Management at swb AG. He is leaving this dual position to concentrate on the tasks he will face at the helm on the EWE Group. At swb, Dr. Köhne will take over the sales division previously led by Brückmann.
