Research and development
Our young research and development branch focuses on developing and introducing products and innovative methods to tap new markets. All of the EWE Group’s R+D is coordinated and pooled in this department.
Energy sales
The Energy Sales department manages EWE AG’s electricity and gas sales. This involves product, price and sales channel structuring for all customer segments as well as providing operative support for major clients and sales partners. We develop and implement innovative sales and marketing approaches with a clear orientation towards satisfying the demands of our customers.
Controlling
As the “profit pilot”, the Controlling department is responsible for providing the Board of Management, managers and employees with the information necessary for controlling as well as providing constructive criticism and an objective perspective during decision-making processes. The department’s diverse remit covers functions related to the operative energy business of EWE AG – such as sales controlling, centre controlling and energy trading controlling – as well as controlling for the EWE Group, including risk controlling. The department also handles investment and project controlling as well as business services for affiliated companies.
Legal department
The Legal department is responsible for providing legal counsel for EWE AG and (fully consolidated) subsidiaries in the areas of civil and business law, corporate law, energy law, administrative law and other legal fields. The Legal department is also responsible for handling operating insurance and affiliation management for the Group companies.
