Chief Executive Officer of EWE AG
Dr. Werner Brinker
Dr. Werner Brinker has been the Chief Executive Officer of EWE AG since 1998.
He is responsible for the strategic orientation of the EWE Group and for developing the Energy and Telecommunications business areas.
Dr. Brinker can look back on more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry. He began his career at EWE in 1978. He was initially responsible for gas purchasing, before going on to build up the waste management department. Subsequently Dr. Brinker switched to PreussenElektra AG (today: E.ON Energie AG) in Hanover, where he was an authorised signatory and director of the main sales department. In 1996 he returned to EWE AG, joining the Board of Management as Board member with responsibility for technology.
Dr. Brinker was born in 1952 in Lingen, Germany, studied at Brunswick Technical University and obtained his doctorate in civil engineering in 1990.

Dr. Willem Schoeber

Dr. Willem Schoeber has been on the Board of Management of EWE AG since August 2010.
He is responsible for the Group’s activities in Poland and Turkey, and for the cooperation with swb, notably concerning conventional power generation.
Dr. Schoeber looks back on nearly 30 years of experience in the energy business. Amongst other things he worked in various management positions on several International sites of Shell. Before joining the Management Board of EWE, he was CEO of the affiliated company swb AG.
He was born 1948 in the Netherlands and has a PhD in chemical engineering.

Michael Wagener

Michael Wagener has been a member of the Board of Management of EWE AG since October 2005.
As Vice Chief Executive Officer, he is responsible for the Information Technology business area, Legal Affairs and Human Resources.
Before joining EWE Mr. Wagener worked for 15 years for a number of national and international banks before moving to VEBA AG (now E.ON AG) in 1993. In this role he was initially responsible for building the group's treasury department. Since 2000 he was in the position of Commercial Managing Director of E.ON Sales & Trading.
Mr. Wagener was born in 1957 in Duisburg, Germany.

Dr. Heiko Sanders

Dr. Heiko Sanders has been on the Board of Management of EWE AG since July 2011.
He is responsible for Finance, Controlling, Accounting and Investor Relations.
Dr. Sanders worked in various leading positions for EWE. From 2010 on, he was a Member of the Board of Management of EWE ENERGIE AG. Before joining EWE he worked for an accountancy firm.
Originating from East Frisia, Dr. Heiko Sanders, born 1969, has a PhD in Business administration.
