The EWE telecommunications team: growth driver for the Group

The telecommunications companies’ range of services includes telecommunications and internet services as well as data communication. The Group companies have recorded strong growth in DSL broadband connections. As a regional telecommunications specialist, EWE TEL has forged out an excellent competitive position with traditional telephone and DSL connections and – according to Deutsche Telekom – has the most direct connections in the region.

The successful business of EWE’s telecommunications segment is based on its high-performance network infrastructure. The Group’s telecommunications network is over 30,000 kilometres in length. In terms of population, it is one of the densest regional networks in Germany. Many corporate and private customers already have access to high-speed data communication thanks to a 15,000-kilometre-long fibre optic cable network. More than half a million private and corporate customers benefit from the varied services offered by EWE’s telecommunications companies.

The telecommunications companies in the EWE Group use a high-performance telecommunications network of around 30,000 kilometres in length, but it's not the only thing they rely on to provide their wide range of services.
