EWE: providing tailored energy services

EWE supplies about 1,4 million private and business customers with electricity and 1,5 million customers with natural gas. The sales areas for electricity lie in northwest Lower Saxony between the Ems and the Elbe as well as Brandenburg. The company also supplies natural gas in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Poland and Turkey. The subsidiary company swb provides customers with electricity and natural gas in Bremen and Bremerhaven.

EWE operates 40 service points and customer service centres to provide a local presence for customers and a comprehensive service and product range for private and business customers in all of its German sales regions.

This range includes “EWE trio” – an offer which combines electricity, gas and telecommunications services and provides considerable price advantages for customers. “Wärme Plus” is another example. With this product, EWE not only supplies natural gas, but finances and operates heaters as well. Customers who would like to make an active contribution to expanding the production of electricity from regenerative sources can draw all of their electricity from renewable energy with EWE electricity NaturWatt. Additionally, customers who convert their automobile to run on natural gas can count on attractive subsidies from EWE. The inexpensive, environmentally friendly fuel is already available at around 80 EWE natural gas stations in the network area.

EWE’s service points and customer service centres don’t just provide information on new products, but also comprehensive individual consultations. EWE’s consulting includes information about up-to-date energy saving technology, modern heating systems and heat insulation for buildings. Customers can also choose from a wide variety of EWE services – from infrared thermography through to the innovative EWE trio smartbox.

Staff are on hand in around 40 service points to answer any questions which private or business customers have about energy and EWE’s range of products and services.
