Kayserigaz: supplying natural gas to the largest industrial area in Turkey
EWE AG has a 80 per cent holding in the Turkish energy supplier Kayserigaz A.S, giving it a strong foothold in the heart of Turkey. The company was founded in 2003. The Çalik Group has a 10 per cent holding in the company and the Kayseri municipality has a 10 per cent holding. The energy supplier is based in the city of Kayseri.Supplying the region with natural gas is Kayserigaz’s core business. The company can rely on its modern proprietary network infrastructure which it is purposefully developing. All in all, the region around Kayseri offers excellent growth potential. Because of the comparatively long heating period in this zone between October and May, natural gas sales are consistently high.
Kayserigaz is also active in one of the largest industrial areas in the country, opening the door for acquiring a large number of clients from industry. Kayserigaz already has a broad customer base in this attractive customer segment with roughly 131,000 customers in the Kayseri region receiving their natural gas from Kayserigaz.
