htp GmbH is a telecommunications service provider for private and business customers in the Hanover-Brunswick-Hildesheim economic area. The company was founded in 1996 and has been part of the telecommunications segment of the EWE Group since 2004. EWE AG has a 50 per cent holding in the company, as does Stadtwerke Hannover AG. The company is based in Hanover.
htp provides telephone and internet products as well as DSL connections which are specifically tailored to customer requirements. htp is especially successful in marketing DSL connections in combination with an attractive range of landline services. One example is a combined offer of a DSL connection and flat rate for telephone calls, which has given the company a successful edge over the competition. htp rounds out its range of products with innovative value added and network services as well as a call centre which competently advises htp’s customers.
The telecommunications provider uses its modern proprietary network infrastructure to provide its services, which gives it distinct advantages over the competition. In addition to landline conversations, htp also provides its customers with the opportunity to make telephone calls over the internet with VoIP (voice over internet protocol).
